Prospect Watch: Offensive Linemen in the SEC
A look at the prospects poised to rise in college football
In this edition of Prospect Watch, we look at two future stars in the SEC.
Important Links:
Tyree Adams OT LSU
With four starting offensive linemen off to the NFL, LSU will need some of their younger guys to step up this upcoming season. Adams is the most talented of the bunch, possessing great size and strength for an offensive tackle. After playing all over the line last year, he will settle in as the left tackle for the Tigers, which is his best spot. Adams is a natural knee bender and can handle bullrushers with ease. If LSU is going to win a National Championship, they’ll need a big year from Adams, who has all the talent to be an All-SEC player in his first year as a full-time starter.
Shedrick Sarratt Jr. OL South Carolina
Only a true freshman, the Gamecocks have high hopes for Sarratt Jr., who will have the versatility to play both guard and tackle at the collegiate level. His high school tape was phenomenal, as Sarratt Jr. displayed rare movement skills for his size. For a team that is going to have high hopes over the next few years, Sarratt Jr. was a massive addition in their recruiting class. He looks like a future early-round draft pick a few years from now.
